The Centre for Advanced Production and Industrial Engineering Research (CAPIER) DTU was established on 8 April 2015. CAPIER DTU coordinates expert lectures, workshops, and industry-institute interactions, invites B.Tech. & M.Tech. students for internships during summer and winter holidays and organizes visits to industries for motivating students towards advanced technology.
CAPIER DTU is also known for supervising many projects for B.Tech., M.Tech. and PhD. It also supports IJAPIE, an international journal in the area of production and industrial engineering.
The first international conference arranged by CAPIER DTU, ICAPIE-2016 (Dec 9-10, 2016), was a great success. The second, third and fourth international conferences - ICAPIE ’17 (Oct 6-7, 2017), ICAPIE’18 (Oct 5-6, 2018) and ICAPIE 2019 (Dec 20-21, 2019) - were organized in partnership with many institutions and held in Delhi.
